Hi Again!

I have had the opportunity to travel the globe showing the powers of Painter. Most can’t believe what it can do until they see it for themselves. The question I get asked the most is, “are there any books I could buy to help me learn to use Painter?” The answer to that question is YES! Painter 11 books are now hitting the shelves, and there are other guides available that can be used with any version of Painter. I’ve highlighted a couple of them here. I do want to point out that, depending on what you do with Painter, you want to get a book that helps you reach your desired goal. I have also included links to amazon.com so you can do your research!

Corel causes a big KABOOM at Comic Con with the Painter artist contest!

Comic Con, the country's leading comics and popular arts convention, celebrated its 40th year in July. From the very beginning the event has focused on "comic art, films, and science fiction."

The comic artists came out to play at the Corel/Wacom booth for the “Five-Minute Corel Painter Artist” contest. Each artist was given five minutes to create their masterpiece. A lucky winner was selected daily, earning a prize package that included Corel Painter 11 and a Medium Wacom® Intuos4 tablet.
Congratulations to winners Matt Cossin, Emil DeGrey, Alex Hillkurtz and Betsy Burke. You’ve proven that fabulous artwork can be created in a SNAP!
