If you have completed Tutorial 1: Painter Essentials 3, follow these additional steps to combine your outline and artwork images:

  1. Open Frame1-painted.jpg and Frame1-outline.jpg

  2. Select All from Frame1-outline.jpg by pressing Ctrl + A or go to the Selection menu and click Select All

  3. Copy selection by pressing Ctrl + C

  4. Switch to Frame1-painted.jpg and paste selection as new layer by pressing Ctrl + L or go to the Edit menu and select Paste as New Layer.

This new layer will appear on the layers palette. Select the outline layer (Raster 1) and choose Multiply from the drop list. This will make the white areas on the outline layer transparent and show the painted image underneath. Use the Eraser from the toolbox to remove any unnecessary areas from either layer.

Merge Layers:

  1. Open the Layers menu, select Merge and Merge All (flatten) or right mouse click a layer in the Layers palette and chose Merge and then Merge All (flatten) from the pop up menu.
