2009 CorelDRAW International Design Contest - The Winners!

With over 1,500 entries from over 60 countries, and amazing artwork uploaded in each category, the judging process of the 2009 CorelDRAW International Design Contest was a lengthy process. Early August, Corel announced the winners of the design contest. Thanks to all of our participants and the many CorelDRAW fans who continue to make this product a world-class leader in graphic design.

The grand prize, a Roland VersaCAMM VP-540i 54" printer/cutter valued at $21,995 US, was awarded to Aleksey Oglushevich from Russia with this amazing piece of vector art:

Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4 - Service Pack 1 is available

Digital Arts Solutions will be conducting a free webcast that will feature CorelDRAW using Vector Art: Design Studio I & II for faster production. This Webinar will cover mascot makeover and developing a profitable fundraising kit. CorelDRAWHelp magazine is a free monthly electronic magazine covering all things CorelDRAW. Articles show readers how to apply computer graphics for different jobs as well as for equipment, products, and/or services of various suppliers.
Unleashed Productions announced their Fall 2009 schedule of CorelDRAW Unleashed Boot Camps covering CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT. Boot Camps are the ultimate CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT learning experience. Students learn to get the most out of CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT in three days of intense training at the Unleashed training theater in Cave Creek, Arizona! The new dates in 2009 are October 1–3, November 5–7 and December 10–12.

The Graphics Unleashed Media Marketplace is a Web site where CorelDRAW users can buy and sell training, clip art, fills, design resources, templates and anything else of value to other users. Do you need something for a project? Search for what you need. Designers who have something of value can earn money by offering products for sale. Web site owners can earn a commission by promoting any of the products available. New products are being added every day so be sure to check back often!

DigitalArtistU.com is a community of artists, photographers and illustrators who are starting, growing and improving their artistry and their businesses. Find dozens of how-to articles and videos, interviews with industry experts, reviews of software, hardware, templates and plug-ins, all designed to increase your productivity and profitability. Extending CorelDRAW with macros and add-ons

One of the great things about CorelDRAW, Corel DESIGNER and Corel PHOTO-PAINT is that you can extend and automate tasks through a wide range of add-ons and ready-to-go macros. In a recent blog post, Foster D. Coburn III presented how to install macros easily, and MacroMonster.com, a great source for these add-ons, has a free video showing all the details. A great source for those add-ons is MacroMonster.Com.
