If you watched NBC's Emmy-winning show, "The Office," on May 8, you
might have heard a great shout-out to Painter! At the end of the show,
one of the show's main characters, long-suffering receptionist and
aspiring artist Pam Beesley, was told that she needed to know a few key
programs if she were to consider a career in graphic art-including
Corel Painter!

Corel recently donated Corel Painter X to the Emancipated Hearts
Program, which allows students to explore visual storytelling, and
develop valuable life and career skills. Ross Todd Kerr, founder and
curator of the program, said the software will provide students "with a
powerful way to express themselves visually and receive positive
recognition for their efforts."

Daniel Conway
Illustrator, Concept Artist and Matte Painter
Looking at Daniel Conway's work,
you would never guess that he got into digital painting only five years
ago. A dedicated Corel® Painter™ user, Daniel has worked as an album
cover artist and an illustrator in the gaming industry. Among his
favorite Painter features are the blending tools, which he describes as
"unparalleled," adding "without them, I doubt I could blend my colors
so well."
