Is there a quick way to add the filename or path and filename to a document for all documents?
Answer:
When you work with a lot of document or printouts, you may wonder where the file was saved. Automatically adding the path and filename to the documents will save you from looking through folders for a specific file. You can insert either the filename or the path and filename to all new created documents.
- Start WordPerfect
- Select File, New from Project
- For the category, select Custom WP Templates
- Select Create a blank document, click Options and select Edit WP Template
- Select Insert, Header/Footer...
- Select Footer A and click Create
- Within the Footer A, click Insert, Other, Filename or Path and Filename
- Click the Close File icon on the Template toolbar
- Click Yes to save changes.
Now, when you create a new document, the file name will automatically appear in the footer after the first time you save it.
Note: If you want additional information in your Footer A, you can edit the footer and add the information .
