Business User-PDF
When our business needs to communicate with customers, we choose the PDF features in Corel WordPerfect Office X3.

All of our invoices, letters, business plans, quarterly reports—pretty much every document we create—is output to PDF and emailed to our customers. Plus, we keep a copy for our archives.

Now, with Corel WordPerfect X3, we can also import text from PDFs if we've lost the corresponding Corel WordPerfect or Microsoft® Word document. It saves us plenty of time when we don't have to retype it.

Legal Professional-Metadata Removal
Sending out documents that contain sensitive information is not a goal of our firm. We've read the news stories about review codes in Microsoft Word showing up on the web—and we don't want to be one of the firms that lets that happen.

The developers of Corel WordPerfect Office X3 took this issue seriously and they added a function to strip sensitive information out of documents. I can even choose what to remove when I save in Corel WordPerfect or Microsoft Word formats. I just select "Save without Metadata..." and I have a clean copy I can send to my client.

Home User-Microsoft® Office & PDF
This is a busy household, and we don't have time to worry about differences in file formats. But I learned the hard way that it does matter.

When I was working on the PTA newsletter, I had to send it to many people. Some of them use office tools, like Corel WordPerfect, but some had no word processor to open my newsletter.

With Corel WordPerfect Office X3, I can create files that anyone can read by putting them in PDF format. That means all my formatting and fonts will look the same to all the recipients, even Macintosh® users. Or I can use Microsoft Word format if I need to get edits and input from other parents who use Microsoft Office. I can even create Microsoft® Excel files for the Football Roster.
